A NEW burger restaurant will open its doors in the heart of Market Place later this year as StirrUps will take over the former Outside Inn pub.
Evesham’s own burger bar will open its doors just over a year after a delivery service was launched to serve local residents during lockdown.
The menu will offer tasty smash burgers, tantalising sides and overloaded fries to those who visit.
Originally founded by Stuart Bailey in 2018 as a catering and events cocktail business, StirrUps was then reborn in June last year with a home delivery offering during lockdown.
At this time, Darren Strickland, who had just been made redundant from his job as a chef, due to the pandemic, joined the StirrUps team to enhance the cocktail offering, shortly after launching their food offering.
The StirrUps team added another member to the crew, Dan Walker, a local businessman who joined to bring further expertise and a passion for all things food and drink.
“Launching something delicious and exciting in Evesham is something the team and myself are all incredibly proud of. Everyone has worked really hard over the past year and having a physical space to call our own is only the start of great things to come,” he said.
“Starting a new venture during a global pandemic is always pretty daunting, but over the past nine months, it’s been wonderful to do something positive for the town.
“With the latest Government announcement, and the roadmap in place for hospitality venues opening up again, we feel this comes at a great time. Hopefully, positive news stories like this can offer some reassurance of the good things to come,” Mr Walker added.
Passionate about maintaining authenticity in their offering, the team at StirrUps make all of their own burger patties. Using locally-sourced, grass-fed cow meat from a nearby farm, they ensure the produce is not only delicious, but also consciously sourced too.
