ASPIRING thespians are being sought by the Phoenix Theatre Group ahead of their next big production, The Addams Family Musical.
The curtain will go on the show in October and the rallying call for cast members has been issued ahead of an information session and auditions in February and March.
With panto season just finishing, the Phoenix Theatre Group are already well advanced on the production and now just need to find the cast for what will be another musical extravaganza performed on Evesham’s Henrician Theatre stage later in the year.
Following last year’s sellout of Shrek – The Musical it’s another monstrous show for Evesham.
Producer Keith Norledge said: “We’re really excited to bring this new musical to Evesham.
“Based on the popular ‘Addams Family’ films and new Netflix series ‘Wednesday’, we’ve plenty of opportunities for both experienced and novice actors to get involved in this ghostly tale.
“Directed by Phoebe Smithies, the fun starts in just a few weeks’ time. We’ve put together a presentation event so as people can come along and see what the show is all about and meet some of the production crew.
“We’ll explain the audition process and go through rehearsal schedules, character part opportunities and how our chorus will get involved,” he said.
The presentation event will take place on Sunday, February 26 at Offenham Village Hall while audition day will follow a week later on Sunday, March 5 at the Henrician Theatre.
“We hope to see both new and existing members for what will be another fun show for the whole family,” Mr Norledge added.
Anyone aged 11 and above in October 2023 is eligible to audition.
