MUSIC chiefs behind one of Evesham’s popular events have vowed to rock on at another town site after they were forced to close their doors for the rest of the month.
Organisers behind The Iron Road revealed the news in a statement on Facebook and confirmed the events lined up for August had been axed with ticket holders set to be refunded from today (Tuesday).
The closure is being blamed on the state of the Railway Hotel which Iron Road chief claim is in ‘serious disrepair’.
“All the problems negatively effect business in some way. An emergency meeting on Friday night got us nowhere and by Sunday evening, ‘The Iron Road’ was packed in a trailer right down to the canvases on the walls ready for it’s new home,” the statement read.
“Firstly we will be moving to a new premises in order to still hold the events booked in from September. Once everything is in place we will announce where we shall be based.”
“You can be sure The Iron Road will be back, bigger, better and ready to continue the party very soon. We look forward to seeing you all then.”
