Murder mystery night boosts charity

Evesham Editorial 17th Sep, 2021   0

ORGANISERS of a murder mystery evening at Evesham Town Hall have thanked all those who attended who helped raise £600 for charity.

The Academy of St Cakes was all set for their annual Speech Day when halfway through his speech the headmaster dropped dead.

Chaos was resolved with the arrival of fish and chip suppers before the arrival of Inspector Plank.

Clue solvers teamed up with school secretary Viv Jones and her husband Eric to solve the mystery and raise the three figure sum for Christian Aid.

Mayor of Evesham Coun Sue Amor was among those in attendance for the evening which saw Eric and Viv’s friend Rob Brown play the part of the headmaster with members of Eric’s Festival Players fulfilling a number of roles.

Each table had puzzles to solve and a school song to compose alongside dozens of clues, questions and pieces of evidence all pointing the finger at one of the teachers who was eventually revealed as the killer.
