EVESHAM’s MP and Tourism Minister Nigel Huddleston took a trip to visit independent holiday accommodation as part of International Week of the Host 2022.
The Mid Worcestershire MP visited The Leaking Well in Dunhampton where he was hosted by Jon Turton to learn more about what the business does and how it supports local tourism.
He showed Mr Huddleston around their property, discussing the history of their accommodation and their experience through Covid-19 — and how they are anticipating a promising return in tourism.
“Our brilliant B&B and guesthouse owners are the backbone of our fantastic tourism sector and stand ready to welcome tourists from across the country and beyond this summer,” Mr Huddleston said.
“I’m delighted to support the ‘International Week of the Host’ this English Tourism Week given the important role B&Bs and guesthouses play in the visitor economy.”
