DRIVERS are being advised to be extra cautious on the roads this morning after the Met Office issued a yellow weather warning for fog.
The warning came into force at 5am this morning and will remain in place until 11am.
Although not all parts of the Vale will be affected, fog patches could develop creating hazardous driving conditions.
The fog is expected to slowly clearer throughout the morning.
The Met Office’s Chief Forecaster said: “Fog has developed overnight across parts of southern England and south east Wales. Furthermore additional fog patches are likely this morning across parts of the south West Midlands.
“Not everywhere in the warning area will experience fog, though where this does form the visibility will drop below 100 m in places. This is most likely in low lying areas and river valleys.”
