THE NUMBER of children making it into their preferred high and secondary schools across Worcestershire has increased on last year.
The statistics came from Worcestershire County Council which sent out its offers to parents on Sunday.
This year across Worcestershire there were 6,015 applications – 130 more than this time last year.
And, according to the authority, nine out of every ten children were offered one of their preferred places – a rise to 96.1 per cent, compared to 94.8 per cent last year.
This year 98 per cent of all Worcestershire applications were made online.
