THREE men who attacked a car with baseball bats during an attempted robbery on Broadway Road in Evesham are being sought by police.

The incident happened about 7pm on Sunday (December 21) when the victims of the attempted robbery, a 50-year-old man and a 42-year-old man, had pulled off the A46 in separate vehicles.

Police say the victims were approached by a man with a baseball bat but managed to drive away and later saw three or four men run across the nearby roundabout into Broadway Road.

A short distance away, three men, all dressed in dark clothing with their faces covered, confronted one of the vehicles and smashed the windscreen, front passenger window and rear windscreen with baseball bats.

They then ran off in an unknown direction. The 42-year-old man sustained minor injuries during the incident.
