MAYOR of Evesham Coun Alan Booth was on hand to present a cheque for £3,200 to town charity Men in Sheds.
Men in Sheds, based on the industrial estate at the end of Corn Mill Road, was among the successful applicants for small grant funding from Evesham Town Council.
The charity provides space, tools and equipment for small woodworking projects, community projects, gardening and socialising for older men.
Those who may be lonely either from moving into a new area, bereavement or mental health issues associated with lack of companionships can showcase their skills.
Caring Hands in the Vale (above), the Garage Art Group (below), Shopmobility and Evesham Street Pastors are the other beneficiaries.
