MAYOR of Evesham Coun Alan Booth was among the guests for the Tracy Sollis Leukaemia Trust’s AGM at Wallace House Community Centre.
Evesham’s first citizen opened the evening with a warm welcome and added words of praise for the Trust’s achievements over the many years.
Founder member Sue Sollis BEM presented the yearly report which included information on the purchase of vein finders for local hospitals complete with an explanation of their benefits.
Guest speakers for the occasion were the trust’s complementary therapist Carrie-Ann Adams and Kate Stallard.
Both were former leukaemia patients who had overcome the disease by means of a successful transplant.
It was a special end to the evening when former mayor Sue Amor made a presentation of £1,512.
A buffet was provided by the charity ‘Working World’ to complete a highly successful evening with a chance to socialise afterwards.
