Evesham Editorial 3rd Apr, 2024   0

A THEATRE show for youngsters to experience all things marvelous and magical is coming to Pershore later this week.

Children and their grown-ups will meet ‘sensible, serious Norbert Norris and wild, wonderful Tilly T. Pott, as they give them a sneak peek inside the amazing’ Museum of Marvellous Things at Number 8 on Friday, April 5 from 2pm.

They will discover ‘stars in jars, catch moons like balloons, dance with Doo-Dahs in cages, and sing with Noo-Nahs’ on stages.

With giant puppets, magical effects, storytelling, live original music it’s a family show with lots of interactivity.

Children will even have the opportunity to make their own sock puppet from materiels provided in a surprise goody bag that they will be given.

Towards the end of the show, the performers will invite them to open the bag and show them how to make their very own puppet.

Organisers say the event is ‘all about empowering children with the belief that when it comes to imagination, anything is possible’. Expect colourful, highly theatrical, hands-on fun.

Based on the picture book by Kristina Stephenson (creator of Sir Charlie Stinky Socks) the show is brought to life by Practically Perfect Pictures a theatre company known for creating unique inclusive and accessible events that bring together live storytelling, drama, puppetry, dance, music, art and craft.

The show is aimed at children aged three to eight years old.

Tickets priced at £12 for adults, £8 for children. Tickets available online at www.number8.org or from Number 8 Box Office on 01386 555488.
