Marking key anniversary

Rob George 12th May, 2019   0

THE RWANDAN genocide took place 25 years ago and since then there has been a dramatic transformation in Rwanda built on faith, hope, love and forgiveness.

On Tuesday (May 14) at 7.30pm at Evesham Methodist Church there will be an opportunity to meet and listen to Bishop Nathan Amooti who will be speaking about the amazing changes that have occurred in the past 25 years.

The evening organised through Mission Possible UK and Churches Together in Evesham and District are looking forward to welcoming Nathan who is a truly inspirational man and speaker.

Before entering the church he was a cattle herder in Rwanda and has played a dramatic part in the transformation since 1994. He has founded several schools, starting with just chalk and a blackboard in the open air and has been a key person in bringing peace to the land.

All are welcome to hear what he has to say.
