A MAN in his 40s sustained ‘potentially serious’ injuries following a gas explosion in Eckington on Good Friday (April 7)
Emergency services were called to a caravan fire near Pershore following an explosion at about 2.15pm.
It’s believed the explosion was from a gas leak from an oven in the caravan.
The fire was out when crews from Evesham and Worcester arrived at the scene. However, an inspection of the area was carried out using a thermal imaging camera.
West Midlands Ambulance Service confirmed a man in his 40s was treated at the scene before being taken to Birmingham’s Queen Elizabeth Hospital by air ambulance.
