AN EVESHAM man remains on bail after a man in his 40s was stabbed in a suspected assault on Castle Street.
Police said the victim was walking with two women towards Port Street on Sunday evening (June 23) when a verbal altercation is understood to have taken place. He is then reported to have been assaulted and suffered a stab wound to the leg and back of his neck.
After being treated at the scene by paramedics, he was taken to hospital but his injuries were not believed to be life-threatening.
A 41-year-old suspect was arrested on suspicion of assault GBH and remains in custody.
Police would like anyone who saw the incident, or who was in the area at the time, to come forward.
