A MAN in his 30s has died after he was struck by a train close to Shipton Under Wychwood.
British Transport Police were called to the scene at 9.50am on Saturday (January 4) after reports of a person on the tracks.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene and his family have been informed. This incident is not currently being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner.
Trains in and out of Evesham railway station were cancelled for a number of hours on Saturday as officers attended the scene which closed the line in both directions in and around the area.
