Man suffers 'serious' injuries following crash involving car and lorry

A MAN in his 20s suffered ‘potentially life threatening injuries’ following a ‘serious’ crash in Evesham on Saturday night.

Emergency services were called to Millennium Way, on the Vale Park, at about 6.43pm following the crash which involved a black BMW and a parked lorry.

Fire crews had to free the man from his car after he was initially trapped inside following the crash.

He suffered from ‘serious’ head and pelvic injuries and was taken by ambulance to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham. An air ambulance was also called to the scene.




He currently remains in critical care.

A West Mercia Police Spokesman said: “Police were called to reports of a collision involving a black BMW and a parked lorry on Millennium Way, Evesham, just before 6.50pm on Saturday (22 July).


“Fire and ambulance services also attended and a man in his 20’s was taken to QE Hospital, Birmingham, with what were described as potentially life threatening injuries.

“He currently remains in critical care with serious head, chest and pelvic injuries.”

Anyone who witnessed the incident is urged to call police on 101, quoting reference number 647s of Saturday, July 22.
