A SERIOUS traffic collision on the A46 in Evesham has left one man dead and a woman needing hospital treatment.

West Midlands Ambulance Service was called at 10.55am to the A46 near Evesham Country Park to reports of a collision involving two cars and a lorry.

Two ambulances, a paramedic officer and the Midlands Air Ambulance from Strensham with a MERIT trauma doctor and critical care paramedic on board attended the scene.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: “Sadly, nothing could be done to save the driver of one car, a man, and he was confirmed deceased on scene.

“The passenger of the second car, a woman, was given treatment on scene for injuries before being taken by ambulance to University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire for further treatment.

“The driver from the same vehicle, a man, was assessed by ambulance staff but was uninjured and discharged on scene.”
