A MAN in his 40s has died from his injuries after a collision on the A44 early this morning (Monday).
Police have issued an appeal for information after emergency services were called to the bypass at about 5.45am this morning to a two car collision between a Blue Ford C-Max and a grey Vauxhall Insignia.
The driver of the C-Max was taken to hospital with critical injuries but died in hospital. His family have been notified and officers are supporting them at this very sad time.
Officers said the driver of the Insignia suffered more minor injuries and was also taken to hospital.
The road was closed for an extended period while police carried out an investigation.
