A MAN has died after being struck by a train at a Blackminster railway crossing this morning (Wednesday)

British Transport Police were called to the scene after reports of a person on the tracks.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene. This incident is not currently being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner.

A paramedic officer, a critical care car and a car from the Midlands Air Ambulance base at Strensham with a BASICS emergency doctor on board attended the scene.

Trains in and out of Evesham railway station were disrupted until 1.30pm. All lines are now back to normal but commuters are being asked to expect delays or cancellations throughout the afternoon
