CANNABIS, a baton and a machete recovered from a raid in a Worcestershire village which saw a man arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of drugs and possession of an offensive weapon.

Evesham Safer Neighbourhood Team executed a search warrant at an address in Pinvin.

During the search a quantity of cannabis was found in the house as well as several mobile phones, £300 cash, a baton and a machete which were all seized.

PC Phoebe Attwood said: “Our team, together with colleagues from the West Mercia Police Task Force are committed to suffocating the distribution of drugs in our communities.

“County Lines drug trafficking and supply is harming those most vulnerable, not just by their use but by exploiting them for moving drugs around, cuckooing and the knock-on effect of further crime such as assault, theft and weapon possession.

“Anyone with any concerns about potential drug crime in their area is urged to get in touch. We will act on all reports we receive.”
