Making tracks to record day

MUSIC fever broke out at an Evesham record store when it celebrated National Record Store Day.

Staff at Rapture Entertainment had a busy day on Saturday (April 19) when shoppers flocked to the Riverside Shopping Centre to snap up limited edition items which were on offer to mark the special day.

Independent music stores from across the UK held a variety of events to mark a day of celebration.

Shoppers were able to get their hands on exclusives including vinyl from artists such as Bruce Springsteen, David Bowie, Elbow, the Rolling Stones, Green Day and One Direction.

Live music was performed in store by The Roving Crows.

Store manager Gary Bell said: “We are always hugely grateful to the local community who support the store and days like this are our chance to give something back to them.”
