Making a material change

A RALLYING call for young people to reduce the amount of plastic they use was delivered during a dedicated assembly at The De Montfort School last week.

Year seven students delivered an assembly encouraging other students to reduce the amount of plastic they use.

They invited Mayor of Evesham, Coun Richard Jones and David Haslam, from Transition Evesham Vale to hear them talk about a major campaign aimed at reducing plastic usage in the Vale of Evesham by 50 per cent in 2018 called Get Drastic with Plastic.

Students from Class 7SL designed posters encouraging others to reduce their plastic usage while a competition will be rolled out across Year 7 and the winning posters will be displayed at an event in April.
