TIME is precious – and a leading Evesham community group has some answers as to how to spend it.
“Time is one of life’s most precious assets. We have great ways to put time to good use,” said Deborah Andrews, chair of Evesham u3a – University of the Third Age.
The ‘third age’ is the time in life after education and work where people have the opportunity to learn and have fun.
There is no minimum age for u3a, but it is aimed at people no longer in full-time employment.
People of all ages are invited to see what u3a offers. Evesham u3a has around 1,000 members with more than 80 special interest groups.
They range from archaeology and art to wine tasting and yoga, with dozens of topics in between. These include book, theatre, cinema and language groups.
Anyone interested in a particular group that’s not covered would be supported in forming a new one.
“For those who thought all their lives ‘I wish I had time to learn a language, or appreciate art’ – this is now the time to do it,” said Deborah.
