A VARIETY of machinery and power tools were stolen when a building on some allotments in Pershore was targeted by thieves.
The raiders struck at Nogains, off Defford Road, overnight between Thursday and Friday.
After gaining access to the allotments, the thieves stole a number of items, including a generator, hedge trimmer, lawn mowers, rotavators and strimmers. They also took solar panels off the roof of one of the sheds.
A shed which had paper inside was set fire to.
Police are investigating and have taken locks which were damaged and tampered with for analysis in a bid to get fingerprint evidence.
The thieves gained access by damaging the hedgerow at the back of the field. Unfortunately there was no CCTV in this area.
Witnesses or anyone with information should call Pershore Police Safer Neighbourhood Team (SNT) on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
