AN EVESHAM mum of three will be swapping pulling on her running shoes to raise cash for the local branch of the National Childbirth Trust (NCT).
Lynn Ratcliffe will be running in the London Marathon in April and hopes to raise more than £1,500 for the cause
Lynn, who started running theee years ago with the ‘couch to 5k’ programme has never run a marathon but is training hard to ensure she is ready to tackle the 26.2mile capital course.
She joined the NCT 25 years ago when pregnant with her first child, became a volunteer and then an antenatal and yoga for pregnancy teacher 16 years ago.
“The friends I met through the NCT supported me through new parenthood and six years of postnatal depression. This is my opportunity to give something back to this amazing charity.
“Hundreds of local parents have benefitted from the services the NCT provides, from antenatal classes, breastfeeding support, Bumps and Babies, Nearly New Sales to baby massage and First Aid classes.
“Many of them know me through classes or my volunteering at Bumps and Babies.
