A CARING Evesham youngster donated her flowing locks to a charity which provides wigs for children with cancer who lose their own hair.
Five-year-old Autumn Edkins was in the chair for a haircut donated for free by Lucy Pratt, owner of Crazy Hair in Evesham.
Autumn’s lost locks will now be donated to the Little Princess Trust who will turn her hair into a wig for youngsters undergoing cancer treatment.
Proud mum Dianne thanked Lucy and said the talented hairdresser was the only person she trusted with the task.
“Lucy was very careful in doing it and still had a big smile on her face at the end. She treated Autumn like a princess,” she said.
“Autumn loves her new haircut. She had about 11 inches off in the end.
“With online and cash donations she has raised about £650 so far alongside her more precious donation of her hair.
“We are all very proud of her and think her beautiful new haircut suits her.
