Loveable Lexi is on the look out for a new caring home

DEVOTED staff at Dogs Trust Evesham have issued a plea to help find one of its ‘golden oldies’ a second chance of happiness.

Lexi, a charming and affectionate older dog currently being cared for by Dogs Trust Evesham, is on the hunt for a forever home after experiencing the heartbreak of losing her previous owner.

The team at the charity is now determined to find Lexi a loving family who can offer her the care, attention, and security she truly deserves.

At eight years young, crossbreed Lexi is a perfect companion for someone seeking a relaxed and peaceful home environment.

The gorgeous golden oldie has been in the care of Dogs Trust Evesham for more than a year, eagerly awaiting the day she can find a loving forever home for her retirement years.

Due to her age, Lexi does have some medical needs, but despite these issues, Lexi has an incredible amount of love and joy to offer, making her a wonderful addition to a loving family.

Chris Slight, rehoming centre manager at Dogs Trust Evesham said: “Lexi is an amazing girl who has had her world turned upside down.

“She is an absolute sweetheart and deserves to find a permanent family where she can spend her golden years. Lexi’s ideal home would be a calm and quiet environment, with a loving family who can provide her with the support she needs.

“Lexi is fantastic in a home environment and loves human company. She is a gentle soul who enjoys cuddles and affection. We can’t wait for her to find a family that will give her the time, care, and love that she thoroughly deserves.”

Lexi is currently enjoying her time in a fantastic foster home but longs for a permanent family who can provide her with the stability and love she craves. Lexi’s foster carers have done an incredible job, but it is time for her to find her forever home.

Dogs Trust Evesham is seeking a family who can offer her a secure garden as the only pet in the home. Lexi can live with secondary school-age children and a tranquil location would be ideal.

Dogs Trust Evesham is also calling on people to come forward as volunteer fosterers to offer temporary homes for dogs like Lexi until their forever homes can be found.

Fosterers provide an essential service for the charity, freeing up room in their kennels so more dogs can be supported, and giving dogs the chance to receive some extra TLC in a home environment.

This is particularly important for older dogs like Lexi, and for those recovering from veterinary treatment. Dogs Trust covers all the costs involved in fostering, including food, veterinary care, and grooming costs.
