Long Lartin prisoner pleads guilty to murder of fellow inmate

A PRISONER at a maximum security prison near Evesham has pleaded guilty to the murder of a fellow inmate.

Victor Castigador, 61, appeared at Worcester Crown Court today (Friday) where he admitted killing Sidonio Eugenio Teixeira at HMP Long Lartin on Monday, June 20.

The court heard how Castigador hit his fellow inmate several times with a rock he had placed within a sock.

Sidonio Teixeria suffered from serious head injuries and was pronounced dead on his way to hospital.




Castigador is already serving a whole life prison sentence for the murder of two people and the attempted murder of another two people in London in 1990.

He has been remanded in custody until he is sentenced on October 21 at Birmingham Crown Court.
