Local railway changes on the timetable for the Cotswold Line Promotion Group's AGM

Evesham Editorial 11th May, 2022   0

MAJOR changes to the future operation of local railways will be highlighted at the Cotswold Line Promotion Group’s annual general meeting

Members of the 1,500 strong group – which represents users on the Hereford-Worcester-Oxford line – will be hearing from Rufus Boyd who is the programme director for passenger and freight services with Great British Railways, the new authority which will oversee all rail operations from next year.

Rail users will also have the opportunity to quiz train operators at the meeting in Honeybourne’s new Village Hall on Saturday (May 14) from 11am with Great Western Railway’s managing director Mark Hopwood and representatives from West Midlands Trains – operating services from Worcester to Malvern, Hereford and Birmingham – among the speakers.

Convenient trains operate from Hereford, Worcester and Oxford directions to Honeybourne Station to and from the meeting: the hall is just under a mile walk from the station.
