A VALE restaurant has launched a new cookery school offering residents the chance to learn how to cook like a master chef.

Eckington Manor will host its first of four ‘The Chefs Academy’ classes next Wednesday (January 18), where food lovers will receive guidance from the hotel and restaurant’s renowned head chef and MasterChef: The Professionals 2015 winner, Mark Stinchcombe.

Together with his wife and fellow head chef, Sue, Mark will demonstrate a selection of top kitchen skills, including how to cook dishes as featured on the popular BBC programme.

Judy Gardner, owner and founder of Eckington Manor, said: “Our cookery school is the ideal environment to develop your skills.

“We couldn’t be more proud of the success Mark has had and tuning into the MasterChef: The Professionals has inspired us to teach people how to elevate their dishes to the next level.

“Our all-new academy provides the perfect opportunity for junior chefs and foodies alike to learn just how to recreate those works of art in their own kitchens, with easy to follow tips and tricks of the trade. We’re so keen to support emerging talent.”

The cookery school will also hold classes on Thursday, April 6, July 13 and November, 9, running from 10am to 2pm and costing £175 per person, or £150 for those working in the hospitality sector.
