Last chance to catch confetti fields

Rob George 5th Jul, 2018   0

VALE residents have one final weekend to sample the delights of Wick’s popular confetti flower fields before the colourful attraction is closed for harvest.

The celebration of colour has once again pulled in the crowds since opening last Friday with many visitors enjoying the view and taking selfies among the delphiniums and cornflowers.

The flowers are in bloom at Wyke Manor Estate but will close for the final time at 5pm on Sunday to allow the estate to harvest the blooms to provide real flower confetti for those tying the knot this summer and beyond.

It’s been another successful spell for estate chiefs who have seen visitors flock to the venue in their droves.

Open from 10am to 5pm daily, the gorgeous attraction is sure to offer a stunning spectacle, with acres of delphiniums and cornflowers just waiting to be explored.

Whether you’re dreaming of wandering among the blooms, snapping the perfect Instagram, or a romantic day out, there’s the chance to explore the colourful field, take some pictures and soak up the sights, before relaxing with tea and cake in the pop-up café.

While there is no need to pre-book, residents wanting to visit before the fields are closed to the public are being advised the final weekend is usually extremely busy.

Admission is £2.50 and free parking is available on the small car park.
