THE MAYOR of Evesham was among hundreds of people who attended the opening of Evesham Martial Arts new gym.
Coun Fred Kaler officially opened the new venue on The Leys on Saturday (April 1) which is thought to be the largest martial arts studio in Worcestershire.
Guests including former and current students were invited to take a peek around the new venue which boasts two fully matted training areas, one for kids’ classes and traditional arts, and one for combat sports.
The gym is fully kitted out with the latest equipment, including sonos sound system, hanging bags, thai pads, focus pads, a fully stocked pro shop and more.
Speaking about the opening, owner and head instructor Ben England told the Observer said: “We’ve been teaching Martial Arts in Evesham since 2009, and we’re absolutely thrilled to be able to take up residency in our new gym.
“We’ve taught hundreds of students over these years, and currently have more than 200 actively training.
“With this new venue we have opened even more new classes, and can’t wait to serve even more members of the community,” he added.
