LABOUR chiefs in Mid Worcestershire have taken the wraps off more candidates to contest wards in Evesham and the surrounding areas in this year’s local elections.

Wychavon District Council elections are taking place on May 4, alongside town and parish elections.

Matthew Rea will contest the Bretforton and Offenham seat while Brian Gregory and Joel Turvey will fight for the seats available in Hampton.

Evesham branch chair Matthew Rea said: “I’m pleased to announce I have been selected as your Labour Party candidate for Bretforton and Offenham in this year’s Wychavon District Council elections.

“I’ve lived in Offenham for four years and in Evesham area for 10 years before that. I’m passionate about local issues and look forward to having an opportunity to represent our local community.”

Photo ID will be required for the first time for those wishing to vote in person.
