A KIND-HEARTED Harvington youngster has put his best foot forward and raised more than £200 for Children in Need.
Eli Webb, a pupil at Harvington First School, was inspired to organise a countryside ramble for the BBC charity extravaganza after watching Countryfile with his family.
The programme featured stories of children and families facing difficulties and asked people to sign up to Ramble for Children in Need.
And after enlisting mum Kerry to help him message people, the caring seven-year-old held his event at Oversley Woods in Alcester last month.
More than 20 of Eli’s friends and family covered just over two miles with a brief stop for a slice of cake and helped him smash his £25 initial target for the fund-raiser which takes place next Friday.
Proud mum Kerry said: “We are incredibly proud of his awareness and compassion, and how much energy he put into raising that amount.”
