MID WORCESTERSHIRE MP Nigel Huddleston is urging local residents to organise a spring clean event to make the town sparkle.
Environmental charity Keep Britain Tidy’s annual national clean up, the Great British Spring Clean, is back on March 2 to 4.
Last year the campaign saw more #LitterHeroes than ever collect a staggering 70,000 wheelie bins of rubbish over one weekend. More than 300,000 people got involved and cleaned up their local streets, parks and beaches.
And Mr Huddleston hopes even more local people will join him in tackling the litter which he described as a ‘blight on our landscape’.
“It’s becoming and increasing concern in my otherwise beautiful and idyllic rural constituency.”
