Keep Evesham tidy calls ahead of annual pick

Evesham Editorial 18th Sep, 2020   0

VALE residents, clubs and organisations are being sought after to take part in the ‘Keep Britain Tidy’ anti-littering campaign.

Meeting at Evesham Town Hall from 10am tomorrow (Saturday), members of Evesham Anti Litter Group and Evesham Town Council will begin their annual pick in the heart of the town centre.

All kit will be provided. Because of the ongoing Coronavirus crisis, there are a number of rules organisers have imposed ahead of the pick

  • If you think you have the virus or have been in contact with someone who may be infected, please stay at home and follow the government guidelines regarding your own personal safety, we will see you next time.
  • No more than 6 in your group, we will observe rules on safe distancing
  • Masks, we will not be inside, but wear a mask if you feel safer that way
  • When you arrive we will quickly dispatch you in your small groups or as individuals to allocated streets of the town centre.
  • We will avoid the large group and photo, instead photos (with your permission) will be in small groups. Do not congregate or mix in large groups (greater than 6) and please maintain safe distancing when in your own groups and with other members of the public who you may be chatting with as you walk around.
  • Wash your hands and we will have new gloves for those who want to use them.
  • Do not pick up drug litter, please report to organiser Bruce Taylor who will arrange for removal if you provide details of location.
