AN EVESHAM resident has thanked residents and traders who supported a Christmas Fair aiming to raise more funds for new play equipment at a town playground.
The Friends of Jubilee Gardens have been busy raising funds for new play items for toddlers and youngsters on a park in Coronation Street for the past two years.
And the group got into the Christmas spirit of things on Saturday (November 29) when they held a festive celebration. The event raised more than £300.
Sue Norledge, one of the members of the group, said: “To be honest it was not our busiest event but to have raised more than £300 has been a good result for us.
“We would like thank all those who came along especially some of the Evesham traders who donated some genrous prizes for our raffle.”
