ANTIQUE enthusiasts are being invited to view a rare doll collection while helping to raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support.
The World’s Biggest Coffee Morning event will see a number of gatherings throughout the Vale, including at St Andrews Parish Centre in Pershore where a display of 30 dolls, which are about 100 years old, will be on show.
Coffee, cake, a raffle and competitions are also on offer at the event at the Church Walk site tomorrow (Saturday) from 10am to 12.30pm.
Joint-organiser Jean Andrews has been collecting the dolls for years and has restored and re-stringed them, bought authentic clothing for them or made clothes herself out of vintage fabrics.
“Although there will be a lot of Macmillan events this week, we are hoping that people will be attracted to St. Andrews by our unique display of beautiful old dolls,” she said.
