CARING Vale residents are being encouraged to put their best foot forward for a charity walking event this weekend.
A pleasant country and riverside walk lasting around two hours will take participants through Evesham and its views across the Vale continuing along the River Avon on Sunday (June 8).
The annual event is once again being driven by Tesco community champion Kim Carter and Fran Webb who are looking to raise as much cash as possible for Diabetes UK.
The walk leaves the Tesco store on Worcester Road at 11am, with registration open from 10am. Entry costs £5 with sponsorship optional and after the walk there will be refreshments and homemade cakes.
The event will take place on the opening day of Diabetes Week which runs from Sunday (June 8) to Saturday (June 14).
The week which takes place every year aims to raise awareness of the condition and fund-raise for Diabetes UK.
