ANYONE with a couple of hours to spend this Sunday is asked to join in with the annual Big Evesham Town Spring Clean.
Organised by Anti Litter Evesham, people are invited to meet up outside the town hall in Market Square at 10am armed with a grabber and gloves if they have them.
The event is supporting Keep Britain Tidy’s Great British Spring Clean campaign, which takes place from March 13 to 29.
Billed as the nation’s biggest mass-action environmental campaign, the duration sees more than 400,000 volunteers clear litter from the streets of the country.
Last year saw 59 willing Evesham residents and individuals from a variety of organisations work their magic removing several dozen bags of discarded cans, bottles and assorted rubbish around the town centre.
Litter-picking equipment will be provided for anyone who does not have their own.
