A SPECIALLY-arranged Question Time debate gave Vale students the chance to grill party candidates ahead of the upcoming general election.
The De Montfort School students got a real flavour of the general election after being able to secure the attendance of all of the major party candidates for the Mid Worcestershire constituency.
Representatives from years seven to ten along with the sixth form, put the candidates on the spot with some challenging questions as part of an enrichment day focused on British values and democracy, and were treated to heated discussions on
the major issues of the election.
Andy Denton, Assistant Headteacher said: “The event was a great success and really gave the school’s students an unbeatable introduction to electioneering and political debate.”
