"It was truly a very emotional scene" - Something to Think About

IT WAS an amazing sight as Kevin Sinfield approached the end of the gruelling 26-mile marathon, because not only had he run the distance but he had pushed his lifelong friend, Rob Burrow all the way in a wheelchair.

Rob suffers from Motor Neurone Disease (MND) and Kevin has campaigned in order to raise funds for the MND Fund.

With just a few metres to go, Kevin picked up his friend in his arms and ran with him over the finish line.

It was truly a very emotional scene.

There is a poem entitled ‘Footprints’ which tells of a man who had a dream that he was walking through life with God.

At the end of the dream, he looked back over his life and saw that in some places there were two sets of footprints and yet in others there was only one.

He challenged the Lord as to why in places there was only one set, to which the Lord replied that those were the times when He had carried the man through the difficult situations.

As I look back over my eighty-one years, sixty of which I have walked with Jesus Christ, I see so many times when the way has been difficult but He has picked me up as it were and has brought me through to experience more of His great goodness to me.
