"Is it really him?" - Something to Think About

IT IS AMAZING how people can change.

In 1969, living in Holyhead, Anglesey, we saw Charles, the newly invested Prince of Wales driven through the town to the harbour.

At that time, he was a very shy young man, but knowing that one day he would have to take on the mantle as King of our Nation and Commonwealth.

Role the clock forward to 2012 when my wife met him face to face as he presented her with the M.B.E medal. No longer a shy young man but a very mature, self-assured future monarch who asked some very hard questions and who knew what he was talking about.

On Saturday 6th May, King Charles lll will be officially crowned as our King and millions will rejoice worldwide as they watch the spectacle either live in London or on their televisions or big screens throughout the world. This will be the first Coronation that many people will have seen because the last one was 70 years ago.

The Coronation Service can be traced back to the Coronation of King Edgar by St. Dunstan in 973, when Charles will be anointed with oil which will set him apart for the great task as King.

Charles’ mother, our late Queen, knew the King of Kings, Jesus Christ, throughout her life and she always acknowledged that great fact, especially in her Christmas Day broadcasts.

We too can experience that same reality as we accept Jesus into our lives.
