Evesham Editorial 8th Jul, 2016 Updated: 20th Oct, 2016

AN INTERNATIONAL deaf footballer and model from Evesham will be joining other British Sign Language users at their weekly meeting.

Jamie Clarke will be making an appearance at the BSL meeting next Friday (July 15) from 2pm until 4pm at the Seward Close venue on Cowl Street.

The group meets every week for conversation and companionship.

Dawn Dean, who came up with the idea, said: “We’re really excited to have Jamie join us for the BSL group.

“The group is a great mixture of deaf, hearing impaired, and hearing people.

“We share life experiences, and raise awareness of issues that affect the deaf community in the area.

“There’s even a chance to learn basic BSL.”
