A CHRISTMAS message from Harriett Baldwin, MP for Pershore
IT’S BEEN a busy year full of change and I hope you will like me, be able to take a moment to reflect, and plan ahead for interesting times ahead.
As we all gather to spend time with our friends and family, I want to thank those people who will be working whilst most of us relax – the doctors and nurses, the firefighters, the police, the shop assistants, the waiters and waitresses and those who serve in the armed forces at home and abroad.
We live in an increasingly busy 365 day a week, 24 hour a day world so it may be that many of us will have to work to make sure the country keeps running.
I also urge you to look out for those people around your community who may be vulnerable or alone at Christmas. It’s the season for giving – even if it is just a chat with a neighbour or a lift to the shops.
And finally I hope you all tuck into delicious, local produce when you celebrate with friends, colleagues and families.
Our local food producers work tirelessly all year round to make sure you can enjoy the best quality goods.
I hope you all have a Happy Christmas and a prosperous New Year.
