AN INSPIRING Pershore High School teacher ran the London Marathon in under four hours and raised more than £3,000 for charity in the process.
Dominique Edwards tackled the 26-mile course through the streets of the capital last month in a time of 3 hours and 50 minutes.
The Station Road teacher said she has been left ‘astounded’ at the generosity of those who donated after she raised a total of £3000 for St Richard’s Hospice.
Mrs Edwards said: “What a fantastic day it was.
“I cannot begin to explain the emotions you face on the day, but all of the training over the last four months was definitely worth every moment and every step of the marathon.
“I am still astounded by the generosity of people, some of whom I do not even know, that have kindly donated to St Richard’s Hospice. Nearly £3000 has been raised for this amazing local charity, in memory of Mr Peter Iddon.”
