ALMOST £3,000 was handed over to good causes as the Vale of Evesham Round Table presented the money raised from this year’s Evesham Carnival.
The bells in Evesham’s historic tower rang out as Round Table chairman Marcus Toney presented cheques to the participants in this year’s event.
Carnival queen Kiaragh Brown was in attendance as cheques were presented for each of the participants of the float parade made out to their nominated charities.
The total raised from this year’s event was an impressive £2,950 and Marcus thanked all those who had taken part for their hard work.
“A huge thank you to everyone for their enthusiasm which went to making a very successful event and we hope to be in a position to confirm the date for next year’s carnival in early August,” he said.
“Thanks also to all the members of this year’s carnival committee for the sterling efforts in hosting such a great event, to Transition Evesham Vale for hosting the Food Festival and to the hauliers who provided the vehicles for the floats to be built on,” he added.
