VISITORS packed into Pershore over the Bank Holiday weekend as the town’s iconic Plum Festival returned for the first time since the pandemic.
A shortage of the famous fruit because of the hot summer didn’t deter locals and visitors alike from taking part in one of the highlights of the town’s festival calendar.
Plums, festival characters, entertainment, food and drink, festival merchandise, balloon modelling and horticultural advice from the Vale Heritage Landscape Trust were among the fun on offer.
Athletes of all abilities put their best foot forward for the ever-popular Plum Plodders 10K while Plum pooches were honoured in the dog show.
The bells of Pershore Abbey rung out at 9.30am on Bank Holiday Monday (August 29) in honour of the event which was last held in 2019.
