THE COUNTDOWN to Christmas at The Valley began in earnest with festive characters roaming the shopping destination to bring a smile to visitors faces.
And the weekend’s events also saw the return of the now iconic Christmas tree to The Valley to once again capture shoppers’ attentions.
Christmas character actors roamed the mall to the sounds of Bretforton Silver Band while shoppers were also able to enjoy Christmas food stands and fairground rides.
While fun was on offer for all the family, once again the ‘wonkiest Christmas tree in Worcestershire’ was again the centre of attention.
Launched last year, the festive feature caused quite a stir with families even travelling to the Evesham venue in order to take selfies with the 20 foot fun foliage.
The mammoth curved lime green and red tree decked out in fairy lights and baubles has been given an added touch this year with the addition of its own top hat.
Phil Maclean from The Valley said: “It was a lovely sunny day and you really felt the appreciation from our visitors during these worrying times.”
