ONE OF the UK’s leading Celtic folk bands is heading to the Vale as part of a major national tour.
Ímar will perform at The Fleece Inn, in Bretforton, tomorrow, fresh off the back of performing at this year’s Cambridge Folk Festival and Belgium’s Dranouter Festival.
The Glaswegian quintet will be performing their new album, ‘Afterlight’, which captures the overlapping cultures and music traditions of Scotland, Ireland and the Isle of Man.
Adam Brown, Adam Rhodes, Mohsen Amini, Ryan Murphy and Tomás Callister’s take on Celtic folk has seem them scoop the 2016 BBC Radio Scotland Young Traditional Musician of the Year Award and the BBC Radio 2 Young Folk Award.
The event starts at 8pm and tickets cost £14.
